I take great care into making my pieces archival by using high quality materials throughout my artistic process. A majority of my canvas paintings have been constructed by my own hand, that way I have knowledge on the quality of the material I am working with and I can ensure its longevity for future buyers and collectors. In these cases I start with choosing pristine cuts of wood to build my frames and personally cut, stretch, and gesso the canvas with quality checks at each point. I use a combination of Gamblin Artist Grade and Grumbacher Pretested Oil Paint, as I have found these to be highly pigmented and soft to work with. Commissioned work will have to option of "wrapping" the painting, where the sides of the canvas are painted in order to allow a choice between displaying work framed or unframed.
Once I have completed a painting and have let it dry, I add hanging hardware and wire free of charge to the insides of the frames. Small, lighter paintings will have eyescrews drilled into the back while medium to large paintings will have D-rings with at least two screw holes to reduce stress on the piece.
